What started out as paper dolls, turned into a kids lifestyle brand.

Dress Like Kids began as a small, heartfelt idea: paper dolls designed to help kids imagine futures without limits. What started as a free, creative resource quickly revealed something bigger—an audience hungry for representation, play, and possibility. I listened carefully, and let the brand grow with intention.

Building the Brand
I created the brand from the ground up, including the logo, visual identity, illustrations, lifestyle photography, tone of voice, and brand persona. Every touchpoint was designed with care—ensuring the brand felt warm, inclusive, and purposeful while remaining playful and accessible.

Connecting with my audience on social
I built a social presence grounded in three clear content pillars: product storytelling, kids lifestyle content, and words of encouragement for caregivers. Through intentional storytelling, thoughtful community engagement, and partnerships with aligned influencers, the brand grew organically and fostered a loyal, values-driven audience.

Hosting Community Events

We partnered with two other Chicago organizations, WGirls and HelloBaby, to host a career fair to show kids the variety and possibilities available to them when it comes to their future careers. We designed 4 stations with activities to teach the kids about different careers, including science experiments, digging up fossils, planting vegetables, and making musical instruments.
